Are You Constipated????

Hey guys, hope you are doing well.

Are you constipated??? If no, that means you have a perfect gut, and if yes, nothing to worry about. As we are celebrating HEALTHY NOVEMBER. I will share with you all the tips and tricks to keep your gut healthy. 

Worldwide 12% of the total population is suffering from constipation.  

If you have less than three bowel movements in a week, then you are suffering from constipation. How will you get to know that you are constipated??? So, the first thing is your stools are dry and hard, the second thing is your bowel movements are painful and you feel difficulty in passing stool, and third is, also after passing motion, you feel that your bowel is not completely emptied. 

When waste is traveling from the colon, the wall of the colon absorbs water from it, if they absorb an excessive amount of water from the waste, the stool becomes hard and finds difficulty in coming out from the body.

As per the growing age, people became less active hence intestine movements get slower and they tend to suffer from constipation. Some medicines like antibiotics and painkillers also cause constipation. During pregnancy, the foetus in the womb presses the intestine, which causes constipation in pregnant women. If your diet is not proper, if you are not taking enough liquid, and sometimes if the daily routine changes we feel constipated.

Chronic constipation leads to hemorrhoids, anal fissure, infection to colon wall which is known as diverticulitis, and in severe cases stool pile up in the rectum is called fecal impaction.

Include more fiber in your diet. Maze, apple, kiwi, banana, orange, oats have lots of fiber in it. Include green leafy vegetables, curd, and buttermilk in your diet. Drink almost 8-10 glasses of water daily. Drink warm water before going to bed and after getting up from bed, on an empty stomach. Avoid bakery products. Do exercise regularly and get rid of constipation or stay away from it.
